Liliane Nienstedt is a Graduate Student Researcher at the People Lab and is pursuing her MPP at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy. Liliane has dedicated her career to understanding how to use research to improve social policy and public education. She previously worked as a Research Assistant at the California Policy Lab, where she used consumer credit panel data to investigate mobility patterns for young adults. Prior to moving to California, Liliane spent five years teaching middle-school science at a public school in Louisville, KY, where she also trained new teachers through Teach Kentucky, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing teacher recruitment in her district. She has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Williams College and is originally from Munich, Germany.
